We’re excited to announce that KQVR is under new management. Utopitech acquired the radio station last Friday in its first foray into entertainment broadcasting. Utopitech CEO, Elizabeth Marten said, “We believe we have a lot to offer KQVR’s listeners, and we can’t wait to serve our community in this new way.”
KQVR Producer, Alice Trudman assured everyone that new station management won’t mean massive overhauls,
“Don’t worry, your favorite DJs aren’t going anywhere, except maybe out to some fancier corporate dinners every now and then. You’ll still hear plenty of the songs you’ve always loved, but we’ll add into the rotation some songs you didn’t even know you wanted to hear. Utopitech has convinced us all here that they know your listening habits and can anticipate your taste in music better than you can! If last week’s catered luncheon to celebrate the transition is any indication, they may be on to something. They fed us asian cuisine that I wasn’t sure about at first, but now I know how much I want noodles.
Utopitech will help us serve our listening audience. They are improving the airwaves from the very start. We’re already seeing their tech savvy at work with the launch of this exciting new website today and more powerful antennas going up all over town next week.
